Q. Are the handmade papers enviroment friendly?
A. The handmade papers sold by Paper Craft Mall are environment friendly. They are acid and lignin free. All our papers are made from recycling cotton rag waste, silk waste or other renewable resources. The manufacturing process is acid free, pollution free and the final paper is biodegradable. Few colors/embellishments and exposure to sun for drying make the pH of the paper very slightly acidic.

A. Handmade paper is environment friendly as cotton rags and other wastes are converted into something meaningful by recycling. Use of extensive non-wood raw materials; help in conserving the forests. Solar energy is used for drying these papers thus saving valuable fossil fuel. handmade papers from Paper Craft Mall can be used to make unique stationary products or customized products with exclusive looks. The handmade paper has higher tensile, bursting, tearing and double-fold strength as compared to ordinary mill made paper. It also provides acid free fine texture for drawing and sketching. These can also be used as fancy decorative gift-wraps.

Q. Is there a consistency of quality in handmade papers?
A. Paper Craft Mall follows various guidelines to attain a high standard of quality in handmade papers. As the name suggests, a team of skilled artisans makes the paper by hand, the thickness, texture and color may slightly vary from sheet to sheet and lot to lot, and this in fact adds to the beauty of this exclusive paper.

Q. What is gsm?

A. Gsm is an industrial term for grams per square meter. It measures the thickness of the paper:

10-40 gsm = tissue type of paper, very light paper
40-70 gsm = light text weight paper
70-100 gsm = medium text weight paper (envelopes and pads etc)
100-130 gsm = heavy text weight paper
130-180 gsm = light card stock
180-250 gsm = regular card stock
250 and above = heavy card stock

Q. How are the products packed for dispatch?

A. The products are dispatched in following ways:

  • The full size (22”x30”) sheets are rolled and packed in a durable rectangular corrugated boxes.
  • The cut sizes (8.5”x11” and 12”x12”) are packed in flat boxes for easy handling.
  • Heavy card stock is shipped in corrugated boxes rolled or in flat boxes if the quantity is large.
  • For Beads and Embellishments we use different boxes as per the order.
  • We make sure that all our shipments are done in proper and safe packing so that they are in perfect condition when you receive them. Any suggestions and comments are most welcome.

Q. What is the minimum order?

A. The minimum order is $ 10.00 , for any orders below $ 10.00 ,there will be a minimum order charge of $ 2.00 .

Q. What is the site policy for retail and wholesale orders?

A. Paper Craft Malls is both retail and wholesale online business store. We stock all the products in large quantities to meet any kind of large and small orders. Parties interested in purchasing wholesale quantity from us must place an initial order of US$ 201.00. We would require a verifiable business license or sales tax id from the State of where you run your business.

Submission of Valid Resale or Tax number is mandatory for activating a wholesale account with Paper Craft Mall and both the customer and the Paper Craft Mall understand that the customer certifies that the merchandise purchased on each order, is for either:

  1. Resale as tangible personal property, or resale of a service subject to tax
  2. A component of an article produced for sale by manufacturing assembling or processing.

The discount plans are as follows:

Retail order totaling:
$ 35-50 -5% discount
$ 51-100 – 10 %
$ 101-150 – 15%
$ 151-200 – 20%

For wholesale orders
$ 201 and above are entitled to 30% discount.
All the discounts are computed after the orders are recd. Please note that this discount will not be computed on your online order form.

Q. What about special orders?

A. All special orders are processed after 50 % advance has been recd from the customer. Paper Craft Mall will re confirm the order with the customer before requesting for an advance. Special orders would require a lead time of 3-5 weeks and min. quantity of 100 sheets per design /color. Special orders are not returnable/exchangeable. We have arrangements to ship the large orders directly from the manufactures to you.

Q. What payments procedures are accepted?

A. At Paper Craft Mall, we are very sensitive to the issues of electronic privacy. Paper Craft Mall accepts all the payments through the SSL secure PayPal. We assure our customers that PayPal is one of the most widely used and highly secure mode of online financial transactions.

Money Orders are also accepted and we will dispatch orders only after your money order is received.

Q. How long will it take for goods to be dispatched?

A. Goods are dispatched within 48 hrs of receiving your order. In case of National holidays and Holiday season there can be a delay of 1-2 days.

Q. What are the shipping rates?

A. We ship most orders within 48 hours. We notify you in case certain papers ,beads and embellishments are not in stock. With normal ground shipping within the U.S. (via UPS/USPS Ground service), your order would be in transit for 1-7 days depending on your location (we are in Maryland). If you have a FedEx or UPS account and would like us to charge your account for shipping please give your FedEx or UPS account number in the order form .

Q. What is the return goods policy of the site?

A. Handmade papers:
At Paper Craft Mall, we do our best to describe our paper along with a clear picture with grammage, color and size. Because of the delicate nature of our papers they are strictly non-returnable.

Seed beads and decorative embellishments:
We will only accept return of seed bead and embellishments in like new condition only. (In its original un-opened packing, product that has been used in part or in whole will not be accepted for return or exchange. And within 7 days along with your complaint mentioning the cause of return. Also insured for full value and shipping pre paid. Any returns COD will not be accepted.

Before you return any merchandise you must contact us to acquire authorization. Upon receipt of the product we will issue exchange, credit or a refund for the value of the merchandise (less 20 % stocking fee). Shipping charges are not refundable and don’t count towards any credit due to customer, Paper Craft Mall reserves the right to judge and determine whether any goods have been altered or damaged. Paper Craft Mall will not be held responsible for packages shipped to us that are not insured.

Q. What about damaged and incomplete shipments?

A. If a shipment arrives damaged or open please notify us immediately so that we can take immediate action, please conserve the original packing.

Incomplete orders:
We always try and keep our website updated and try to update our stock immediately.
Please inform us along with your order, if any of our products are not available. Please notify us within 48 hrs of receipt of your shipment if your order arrives incomplete. Please contact us and give the details of the invoice no. Item code and description of the missing item(s).
